VEGECENTRAL...Matar paneer

Welcome to my kitchen...Oh! sorry ...Welcome to your kitchen.
         Let me introduce myself.. I am Pratima  tiwari , a simple house wife having a loving husband and a cute beautiful daughter. This is my family , actually my introduction is incomplete without my family . My qualification is M.sc.(chemistry),  p.g.d.c.a. . , living in Gurgaon , India .
                    My subject was chemistry so I always heard that experiments are done in labs only but friends you know most of the time I realise that maximum numbers of experiment can be done in any kitchen only. No one can do beautiful, colorful, delicious experiment any where else as we can do in kitchen , and I always enjoy to do experiments with recipes  and  hope you will also enjoy it.
Then lets have fun with recipes... Starting with vegetables.

 Matar paneer-

Main course           -   veg
Preparation  time   - 20 minuts
Coocking time       -  30 minuts
Serves                    -  4 persons
 
INGRADIENTS--
 
Peas  (matar)           - 1/2 kg
Paneer                     - 300 g
Onion                     - 2 large (chopped )
Tomato                   - 1 large (puree)
Ginger                     - small piece
Turmeric powder     - 1/2 spoon (small)
Coriander powder    - 1  full spoon
Red chilli powder or green chilli paste - 1 spoon
 Garam masala          - 1/4 spoon
 Ghee or oil               - 250 ml
 Salt                           - According to taste
 
Process-
  • Cut the paneer into strips or cubes.
  • Heat sufficient ghee in a kadai and deep-fry till light brown.
  • Peel, wash and chop onions and ginger finely.
  • Heat two tablespoons ghee in a pan and add paste of onion and ginger.
  • Saute till lightly browned. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder (or green chilli paste), coriander powder, salt and tomato puree then after a minut add  peas and cook for 5 minuts.
  • Add a little water, till the peas are tender and a little gravy remains. Add the fried paneer, garam masala powder and boil for five minutes.
  • Your delicious matar paneer is ready , Serve hot with chappatis or rice.
